RCST = Registered Craniosacral Therapist, HPS = Heilpraktikerschule (Institute of Naturopathy), SPHINX = SPHINX Craniosacral Institute
I used to work as a registered nurse in Switzerland, where I was able to gain a lot of experience in a variety of fields and helped many people in different life situations. I worked with adults after surgeries or with different chronic diseases, either in hospitals or in homecare. I also worked in a clinic for paraplegics and quadriplegics and in a clinic for alternative medicine. And before I decided to leave this stage of my life, I worked for a few years in a nursing home where I supported many wonderful human beings through the process at the end of their life.
All these enriching encounters and experiences have given me a very deep understanding for life and the very individual needs of every human being; the need of being met on a very deep level and the need of being truly understood.
My own first contact with Craniosacral Therapy was as a client in my teens, I suffered from very bad headaches and migraines. I will never forget the therapist's gentle, as they didn't only touch me on a physical level, I felt truly met as human being in a very holistic way of body, mind and soul. And from then on, my own transformation started. I already decided at this young age to discover the depths of this wonderful healing art and to bring this gift into other people's life. This decision brought me first to my other passion as a nurse and in 2016 I finally graduated as Craniosacral Therapist in Switzerland. Since then I have supported a variety of clients first in Switzerland and since spring 2018 in England, together with my husband David who is a Naturopath.
Craniosacral Therapy is a holistic and non invasive hands-on therapy, using very gentle touch and yet it is a very profound approach. It orients to an underlying healing intelligence within the body that maintains health. Because of different levels of stress and trauma everyone experiences during daily life, we may be challenged in maintaining our health, which leads to distress, discomfort and disease. Craniosacral therapy supports the client to reconnect with health, to maintain and restore the body's balance and ability to heal itself.
TEN = Traditional European Naturopathy, HPS = Heilpraktikerschule (Institute of Naturopathy)
My journey to become a Naturopath started in 2010, when I was enrolled on an electrical engineering degree course in Switzerland. Within the first week I realised that this is not the field I want to be working in and that I'd rather do something else where I can make a real difference for people. I quit my engineering course and started a 6 year lon part-time Naturopathy course at the Institute of Naturopathy in Lucerne, Switzerland. I finished my degree in Naturopathy with focus on Herbal Therapy in 2016 and, together with Melanie, my wife and Craniosacral Therapist, I worked with many clients and a variety of health issues in my own practice in Switzerland for two years before
moving to England in March 2018.
During the last two years of my studies in Switzerland I also worked on two books, together with the founder of the Naturopathic Institute and the Head of Education for European Naturopathy at the Institute, which were published in December 2017 and are now in use at the Institute for teaching students about herbs and foods.
A part of my studies also included the foundations in Homeopathy, which I was and still am very interested in. In 2018 I decided to deepen my knowledge in this field and started a 4 year diploma course at the School of Homeopathy in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
I love to work as a Naturopath and to help people to find their way towards a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle and a better understanding of health and disease. The way I look at my
profession it is not only our duty to help people to get over health issues but also to teach our clients how to avoid health issues in the first place and to provide some orientation on the path
to a healthier life.
